Welcome to Tyndrum!

Tyndrum is situated on the world famous West Highland Way and the West Highland Railway Line, recently voted the most scenic train journey in the world.  If you are a hillwalker, you will find Tyndrum to be excellently located, with great mountains like Ben Lui and Beinn Dorain just around the corner.

Tyndrum is also making a name for itself as possessing the only working gold mine in Scotland!

One is Tyndrum Lower, the other is Tyndrum Upper which sits on the West Highland Line, recently voted the most scenic railway in the world. Take the train for a day out in Oban, Fort William or Mallaig, or simply enjoy taking this amazing journey over the wilderness of the Rannoch Moor.
